What Is Budget Breakthrough?

All the time I have friends, readers, students, and random people on social media share with me they can’t budget.

They just can’t do it.

Sometimes they’re frustrated, sometimes ashamed, or they’ve just plain given up.

And every time I think, if only I could sit with them for a couple of hours and share just a few key insights, a couple of important tools, and instill two or three tricks of building a budget — I know they could do it.

And I know you can too!

I know all too well how stressful is to try again and again to budget, only to end up overspending again. I’ve been there, and by the grace of God, I’ve learned there is a better way.

I can’t wait to share all this info and encouragement to help you budget successfully! Thank you for letting me walk alongside you in your budgeting journey.

What You Need to Know

There are about 23 lessons in the course. You can read each one in short 2 to 10-minute increments because I know you’re super busy.

Also, most of the lessons are text-only, so you don’t have to worry about finding a quiet time to watch a video. If your kids are screaming in the background, theoretically, you can still read a lesson. ;)

In some lessons, you’ll learn a new concept and in others, you’ll be asked to take a tiny step forward in setting up your budget.

Do it!

For lessons where I ask you to do an exercise, I’ve provided you with all the tools and resources to make it easy.

In fact, you’ll have three options for how to organize your budgeting system. Pick the one that works best for you, your personality, and your unique family – or use a combination. These will include:

  • Printable Worksheets – Great if you’re a visual learner or need to communicate with multiple family members about your budget.
  • Editable Spreadsheets – Perfect if you love spreadsheets but don’t want to get overwhelmed by all the options of an app or software.
  • Instructions for using the free budgeting software Mint – If you’re a digital native and love having up-to-date info available online to easily share with your husband.

After each lesson, please be sure to click the link to leave feedback before you mark each lesson complete. This is what will help me make sure that you have everything you need to be successful with your budget. Thank you so much in advance for taking this step.

Finally, I want to congratulate you for taking this step in transforming your family’s finances. I can’t wait to watch as you begin to gain confidence by achieving your financial goals, making progress in paying off debt and saving for the future, and best of all being stressing less about money – so you can enjoy your time with your family.

Let’s make it happen!
